Downton Boston Luxurious 2 Bed!

Comfortable - great location - spacious. Will definitely check on availability again. Positive: The apartment location was terrific and the accommodations spacious and comfortable. Having a full kitchen and living room was terrific - definitely a bonus for folks who are staying in Boston for several days. Negative: The code to access the building was not working. When we arrived, the door was propped open by a cone - not a great thing from a security standpoint. It also allowed folks direct access to the building's lobby area where it looks like Amazon packages are left for tenants - many of these packages appear to have been opened. We decided to remove the cone so we could be sure we could access the building after we returned later that evening - that is when we found the code not working. Fortunately we did get a fairly quick response from the property manager directing us to another entrance where the code worked. We also had an issue getting a parking permit for our car (parking was extra), but we finally got our hands on one.

Lo encontramos impecable, la ubicación fue estratégica, pudimos ir a todos los sitios turísticos caminando y como estamos en verano con las altas temperaturas, podíamos venir a tomar duchas rápidas o descansar sin perder tiempo. Estuvimos en el fin de semana del 4 de julio y si hay ruido de la calle, pero no es exagerado, es el ruido de cualquier centro de ciudad (algo que no depende de ellos) y el ruido del metro se siente ligeramente quizás porque estamos con aire acondicionado así que para dormir fue como tener un ruido blanco! Encontramos un estacionamiento a 5 minutos caminando así que no tuvimos problemas con eso.

Avoid this property due to a broken, insecure front door, a malfunctioning, deafening AC unit Negative: I am writing this review to warn future guests about my recent experience at this property. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by several major issues that made it both stressful and uncomfortable. Security Concerns Upon arrival, we discovered that the front door to the apartment would not unlock properly, so other guests decided to keep it open 24h with a traffic cone. This is an unacceptable security failure, especially in a city environment, and it made us feel extremely uneasy throughout our stay. Equipment Failure and Noise When we checked in, the air conditioning unit was frozen over and running at full blast. It was incredibly loud, and because the unit was malfunctioning, we were unable to turn it down or turn it off. To make matters worse, the apartment is located right next to the metro line, resulting in constant, loud vibrations and noise whenever a train passed by. Lack of Support While we were offered the option to have a maintenance team enter the apartment while we were out to address the AC, the initial experience was poor. We were essentially left to deal with the immediate discomfort on our first night, and the only "solution" provided for the noise was a pair of earplugs the following day. This did little to compensate for the significant lack of security and the overall lack of a peaceful, habitable environment. I cannot recommend this apartment under these circumstances. The lack of basic security and the failure to provide a habitable, quiet environment made for a very poor experience. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and makes the necessary repairs before allowing future guests to stay.

Overall, the stay was great! The location was walking distance to everything! Positive: I liked the location and aesthetic of the property. Negative: I didn’t like the fact the door wasn’t working properly. The door code stopped working leaving is locked out.
