Incredible! Location, Location, Location! Positive: This apartment complex was perfect for our trip. It is right in the beating heart of downtown Boston. Steps away from the eateries at the Corner Mall, right next to Downtown Crossing, Roche Bros grocery, all major shopping like TJMaxx, Macy's, Target, Gap, Old Navy, etc; also right across the street from Boston Commons, and the T. Plus, a Dunkin Donuts on just about every corner. A great little Greek restaurant called Saloniki's just down the street, Granary Burial Ground across the street next to the church, and we listened to church bells every day. We were able to take the T everywhere from this location. Two or three blocks one way, and we were at Government Station; a few steps the other way and we were at Park Street Station. We had the entire city to explore, and all we had to do was jump on the T to do it. Buy a Charlie Card pre-paid for 7 days, and you can go anywhere from the Harbor to Harvard, as many times as you'd like. There was construction on the corner for Boston's first Holocaust Museum, but that didn't affect us, and we couldn't hear anything happening on the street from inside the apartment complex. In fact, we ended up making friends with the foreman, Gerald, and spent time chatting with him each morning. Bostonians are incredible people. They were helpful! Anytime we seemed the slightest bit lost, it never failed that an incredible local would walk up and help us find where we were going. I just love this city! The best part of this location, I'll happily admit, was that it was literally a walk down the block to Beantown Pub. If you go there, you MUST have the cheeseburger. It may be the absolute best cheeseburger I've ever had in my life. And I'm from cattle country, so... Negative: Be aware: this is the middle of the gritty city, and there are homeless people camped out along Tremont in Downtown Crossing, people obviously on drugs or who were talking to themselves, and those who would ask for spare change, but we saw that pretty much anywhere we walked. No different than any other big city. Also, there were issues with the apartment complex's front door. Sometimes the door code worked to open the door; other times it didn't, and some of the people staying there got stuck outside until someone came to help open it. We used a traffic cone (thank you, Scotland!) to hold the door open during the day. It was so safe, though. There were literally Amazon packages lined up and down the hallway right at the entry, and not a single person ever went through them or touched them.

Great value and safe location Positive: Very close to Boston Commons and Beacon Hill Negative: There is water damage in the bathroom on the ceiling and next to the toilet paper holder. The electric tea kettle didn’t work.

Centrally Located Apartment

We enjoyed our time here in central Boston, visiting historical sights with our 10 year old son. The apartment is close to multiple subway lines, walking distance to the "Freedom Trail", the Commons and other sights, while still being somewhat secluded and quiet. The apartment was a little dark, being on an air shaft, and there wasn't a lot of dining space, but we were able to cook for three at least one night. There were also some electrical problems, which meant the washing machine was out of commission when we tried to use it Tuesday night. The manager was very responsive to our messages, but it did take a couple days to get fixed, so we weren't able to use it until Thursday. We would certainly stay there again!

While the apartment itself was spacious, well presented and in a great location we experienced multiple problems with the power in the apartment that were never investigated or addressed by the property managers. On arriving at the apartment we noticed that the power outlets in the kitchen were not working. Later that night we lost those in the living area including the WiFi and television. The following morning we lost the refrigerator, and that night the washing machine. While I recognise that sometimes things will go wrong in the place you are staying, but as a paying customer you expect someone will try and fix them. Despite repeated assurances over 4 days that someone would come to look at the issues, this never happened before we left. This is the worst maintenance service that I have received in any place I have stayed anywhere in the world.

Beautiful apt, superb location

Apt was spacious, modern, clean, quiet, and nicely decorated. It’s on a quiet dead-end street. The only “noise” I heard was gentle church bells in the morning. I did not even hear any street noise or sirens. Minor cons: - shower has no shelves or any place to put shampoo / soap - no coffee, salt, pepper or any kind other spices or condiments - the refrigerator broke during our visit (just bad luck) Everything else was great!
